Which rules apply?

Currently a bit confused, as an Aeroplan member, if I book Business class on another Star Alliance airline, do Aeroplan status mile rules apply, or does the carrier's rules apply in who's seat my butt is sitting?

As an example, Singapore gives 125% to business, 150% to first, and 300% to their suites for their own program. I'm trying to figure out what that would translate into for an Aeroplan member.

Thanks!

It's always Aeroplan's rules. Check the website. This is why, if you're in the habit of flying paid business or first class, you're likely better off in another program. For example Miles and More gives 200% for J and 300% for F.

Please refrain from double posting your question. I've already answered you specific question in your original thread:
