I'm using the word "zoo" to differentiate Kruger and other venues from "true" wilderness, something that you won't find in SA IMO and probably not at too many places anyway.
I accept that your intentions are not to disparage the experience but by using metaphors like "zoo" you invoke a lot of negative - and highly inappropriate - connotations. The animals are not fed, and they are free to roam over an area far bigger than Wales. No one is pretending it isn't a managed wildlife park, but "zoo" is a very poor analogy IMHO.

Point taken - I'll take your (and others') sensitivities into account when using the z word going forward. Let me assure you that I absolutely LOVE the greater KNP (as well as some concessions closer to Jo'burg) and that I inevitably get a feeling of "so this must have been what paradise was like" when I'm there! ^
