There are short and long walking trails from the camp. Though we did not go to the swing bridge (too long a walk / climb to us.)
After dark, thanks to no light pollution, the stars in the sky were incredible.
There is zip lining activity in nearby forest. A friend and her boyfriend went in July and they did the activity. We just went to see the Big Tree in the same area after we checked out Storm River,, on our way continued to the East. We have done the Garden Route from East to West in 2015. This time we did the opposite direction.
If your visit is Summer time, pretty sure you would have a less enjoyable experience primarily due to huge crowds.
About Kruger - What we saw last year and what we saw this year - vastly different, all because of how much rain the area received before the visits which were at around the same period of the year, only 2 weeks apart with this year 2 weeks earlier than last year. Very amazing seeing a completely different landscape, plus the animals were so much "fuller" thanks to lots of foods this year.
The security measure getting in and out of Kruger gates now is much tighter than last year therefore very slow - sometimes took 30 to 45 min to get through. Plan accordingly.
