You can try checking in via the website if the app is not happy or vice versa
You can still pull the boarding card up in the app if you checked in via website

24 hours before I got an email to check in my seat was 1F and still showed in my booking but when boarding pass generated it said 1C !
Concierge line could do nothing . 24 hours later check in said everything full . Boarded flight 2 no shows 1EF and no one in 1A was ever booked. Seems Aer Lingus IT struck again .
