Points for no show nights?

Points for no show nights?
Would not showing up for a paid and non-refundable reservation generate points and status nights?

No. You need to stay for the points to be credited.

If this was the case I would be booking lots of rooms in APAC for the status. No show = no points or status nights ( and probably a loss of your first night deposit )

You could e mail hotel, and ask to move dates and pay difference. Sometimes works. Or travel insurance ( prob not worth that though )
