It happens to me also sometimes.
Hotels were I have never stayed before says i'm classic, while I booked I was Gold..... other Hotel were I stayed before saw me as Platinum, while I was Gold...... but I stayed there as a platinum guest.

When the booking downloads into Opera, it will have whatever status you had when you made the booking. It does not automatically update. Some hotels may take the initiative to do a search of memberships and manually update it prior to arrival. But I would recommend contacting the hotel and alerting them of a change in status.

Just FYI in my case, I was platinum at all times (booking and staying).

I dont have it so much as an issue but when I stay at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, the welcome letters printed to me recognized me as a silver member even though i was Platinum. I think the GRO just did not bother checking and was not professional enough to do her job well.
The platinum treatment was of course rendered to me.
