I have a stay booked tonight but made the reservation a week ago, so no points for that one i guess... but 3 stays in any property (as far as i understand) and you get those points; that seems really like a great offer; especially if you have some stays coming up in the cheaper parts of the world! Might have a look some more hotels in the next week :)

EB86 Sep 16, 2014 2:21 am

Can you also book 3 one night stays instead of 1 three day stay in the same hotel?

in TC: "Stays cannot be concurrent"

jimthehorsegod Sep 16, 2014 2:51 am

A 'stay' is defined as any number of nights, back-to-back in a single property so even if booked as individual reservations, 3 nights in a row at the same property would be one stay in any hotel program, this included.

Did anyone take part in the One Free Night promo earlier in the year? Or was it targetted? It was 6000 points after 5 stays IIRC, but didn't expire until October I didn't think?

Unfortunately this doesn't work, it will still consider as 1 stay if I read the T&C correctly.

EB86 Sep 16, 2014 3:12 am

Ok but when you are in 1 city you can simply hop hotels and get the points i guess....

Yes or do one night with a different chain in the middle and get 2x Accor and 1x Hilton, for example

hotel chains have prevented cheaters from doing that by prohibiting "back to back" stays

consecutive stays at the same property are considered as one booking

PabloM Sep 16, 2014 7:01 am

Thanks for this. I booked a night earlier today so wonder if it will count or not.

citroenc4 Sep 16, 2014 8:35 am

Is there any minimum amount which you have to pay per night?

Say, if you spend 40 USD staying one night in Ho Chi Minh city, 50 USD staying one night in Bangkok, and 50 USD in Beijing, the reward you receive will be more than the money you pay??? It sounds like a bit loophole.

enzo0511 Sep 16, 2014 9:10 am

these are bonus points, so not related to spendings, you can do 3 stays at very cheap rates as long as they are participating hotels

Awesom Andy Sep 16, 2014 10:06 am

How would this work with the Asia Pac 100 day offer? I suppose I'll have to get myself out of the region?

littlefish Sep 16, 2014 4:17 pm

Would these bonus points count towards Accor Club status? as was the case with some of the 'long-stay' promos earlier in the year?
Interesting if yes.

Interesting if yes.

They should do. I think all points count regardless of how you earned them. And yes, the promo itself would get you from base to almost gold.

So, even 3 concurrent stays in different hotels do not count ?

I am wondering aswell. What if i stay in new york on the 23rd and in washtington on the 24th. I guess it will be counted as two stays.

Even in different countries?

3544quebec Sep 17, 2014 7:30 am

Doesn't concurrent mean running at the same time and consecutive mean one after the other?

jhempy Sep 17, 2014 7:32 am

In the French text it says "concomitant" what also means "simultaneous"
So 2 rooms booked in the same hotel under one account, will only count as 1 stay an not 2.

This is also how I define the two words.

How erudite :D

swy Sep 18, 2014 1:05 pm

Let's say I register for this promotion, the Topbonus one, and the Get Double promo.

I set Topbonus in my earning preference. Then I make 3 stays in Asia Pacific before Nov 1. I would get:
  • 8,000 Le Club points > converted to 4,000 Topbonus miles.
  • 3 x 2,000 = 6,000 Topbonus miles.
  • Double base points (4 point / Euro). Let's say each stay is 100 Euro, then I'd get 1200 points => 600 miles.

And so I'd get a total of 10,600 miles (plus possible miles through the facebook checkin, plus rebates from portals). Is this calculation correct?

EB86 Sep 19, 2014 2:33 pm

I checked the conditions once again. It says spreaded days. So I guess two stays in different countries should make me eligible because it's two different dates. They also explicitly state that 3 rooms on one night counts as one stay.

tboons Sep 20, 2014 8:56 am

can i check if properties in china could count as one possible stay? looking at several properties in shanghai/hangzhou

it says le club card not accepted...

tboons Sep 20, 2014 9:13 am

all ibis hotel in china are not part of the program

PabloM Sep 20, 2014 2:41 pm

Accor has always counted consecutive days in different hotels as separate stays.. You just can't make say 3 bookings at the same hotel on consecutive days and expect it to count as 3 stays.

So if you are staying at multiple properties you will be fine.

BigE Sep 20, 2014 6:27 pm

This is a great promo.

A question: If you pay for part of the stay with points, do you think it would count towards the promo? The T&C don't seem to exclude it. Award stays would not count with Hyatt, Hilton, SPG, etc, but Accor bookings with points seem quite different - it's just a type of payment.

swy: yes, you should be able to earn with multiple promos at the same time. I've done it before with Accor.

Topcashback seems to be 8%, at least for another day. I don't remember it being so high before.

DYKWIA Sep 21, 2014 2:47 am

Anyone know if this applies to already booked stays? I signed up today, and have 4 stays already booked for the next 4 weeks.

AFAIK it doesn't, I also have some stays booked but before the dates mentioned in the T&Cs so don't expect any extra points.

gilbertaue Sep 21, 2014 3:34 am

Finally! A real promo from Accor

I doesn't. Got myself a confirmation from Accor via fb last week on this.
So I proceeded to cancel my bookings and rebooked.

Thanks, I'll have a few book booked before the end of the promotion, so it's no big deal.

virtualaris Sep 21, 2014 6:12 am

Just got my points posted from my last stay in Ibis Serpong. Not only got 1,000pts automatically along with the base points, but I still also got double points from ongoing Accor promotions. Feels like just got jackpot considering the price I paid. :D
My activity
Date of arrival Transaction date Description Night(s) Points
XX/XX/2014 XX/XX/2014 LCAH SEPTEMBER OFFER 0 1000
XX/XX/2014 XX/XX/2014 GET DOUBLE 0 49
XX/XX/2014 XX/XX/2014 Points Accelerator 0 24
XX/XX/2014 XX/XX/2014 ibis Gading Serpong 1 49

I was thinking to book more on this month so I could still get the Double Pounts. Thanks Accor! :D

yorkboy24 Sep 21, 2014 8:03 am

Did anyone else notice that they changed the terms and conditions of the Double Points promotion? It was according to status at the beginning when I signed up but now it has been changed to based on classic status. Can they do this?!

So, can anyone confirm that for the new promotion, can I stay in 2 different hotels on consecutive nights in the same city? Will this count as 2 stays?

gilbertaue Sep 21, 2014 10:07 am

I'll tell you week after next :) staying in two different hotels this coming week consecutively (in two different towns).

It's nearly universal (in my experience) that "double" or "triple" points promos are based on the basic level - I can't remember any that also doubled the elite bonuses (maybe it's happened, but it's certainly rare). So if anything did change, I would guess that it's merely a clarification.

It's also universal that stays in two different hotels on consecutive nights count as two stays. I've never seen anything to the contrary for any hotel chain.

ups Sep 22, 2014 5:27 am

From the T&C:

7. The stay must be booked online (via Accorhotels.com or one of our brand websites participating in the Le Club Accorhotels programme), via our mobile applications or by calling the Accor Bookings Centre. Other booking channels are not eligible for this offer.
Does anyone have experience if this is enforced with corporate agent bookings? They are not pre-paid, and my experience with other chains (mainly Hilton) is that all bonuses always post but I don't know if Accor will work?

I did get the base points for an Accor stay which was booked via hotels.com last year, but there were no bonus offers at the time.

If Accor won't give bonus points I'm likely to move my stay to IHG or Hilton, but if it does, I'll book with them.

yorkboy24 Sep 22, 2014 7:01 am

I think it was a clarification, as the original wording of the Get Double promotion was confusing as probably meant to mean that any member (with any status) can take part:

Terms & conditions
Le Club Accorhotels Terms & Conditions:
General Le Club Accorhotels terms and conditions apply to the “Get Double points in Asia Pacific for a 100 days” offer.
This offer is valid for every eligible stay with an arrival date between now and 1 November 2014 for eligible stays booked before 1 November 2014.
This offer entitles Le Club Accorhotels Loyalty program members, regardless of their status, to benefit from earning Double bonus points at all Asia Pacific hotels participating in this offer.
The following Asia Pacific countries are participating in this offer:
Asia: Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam
Australia Pacific: Australia, Fiji Islands, French Polynesia, New Zealand
Bonus points are calculated according to the points earned by the member based on status and the brand visited.
You must register for the “Get Double” offer to qualify for the offer.
You must book your “Get Double" stay ahead of time on-line (on accorhotels.com) to benefit from this offer.
You must provide your loyalty card number or member number when making your reservation, and present your card at the reception desk of your hotel when you check-in for your stay.
Reservations that include several rooms covered by the same member during his or her stay are only counted as one stay.
The offer is available for multiple stays within the campaign duration.
This offer may not be combined with other current offers or advantages and does not apply to groups.
This offer is subject to availability. General sales terms and conditions apply for reserved public rates specific to each hotel.
Your points will be credited on your account within 10 days after your Check-out date.
