I also find out that the hotel now tends to ask whether the guest would like to have late check-out online; and it says that Novotel provides this for free on Sunday.
So, I believe that it would be nice if Accor could provide this during booking for Gold and Platinum member; either asking early check-in or late check-out or both so we didn't have to email the hotel in advance to ask the hotel for early check-in or late check-out. ;) |
In some hotels, they'll probably deny the upgrade for Platinum members then there'll be an additional option 'Click on begging bowl to try again'. Before such initiatives are introduced, they still need to sort out their website. If I click on Acces and fill in the form that way (not on the main page after logging in) you can't even search for a room. There isn't a dedicated platinum line if there are issues. And Accor Places, though improved, is still touch and go. By all means plan for these things but get the basics right first!

I just upgraded the iOS app, curious about how the online check-in might look like. However, I wasn't able to find where this is located, and I have a booking for tomorrow (that correctly shows up).
Anyone succeeded checkin in online? Were upgrades being offered the same way than with a counter checkin ? |

Not sure if this is part of the online check-in new features mentioned but I could swear that today I had an iOS notification that I was upgraded to a luxury room at Sofitel T5 LHR for tomorrow night...I was too quick in deleting the notifications and only glimpsed something to this effect, is this something others have also seen or was I dreaming? :confused:

don't expect anything about upgrades, it's all about making checkin faster and easier
it has been tested in several Accor hotels around the world, now being generalized we'll receive a SMS and a welcome email before arrival, it's for all guests not specifically LCAH members |
