Miles for someone else?

I seem to recall a frequent flyer program in which the person purchasing the ticket could have the miles deposited in an account of his choice (a friend's account, for example). I know I'm not just dreaming this up; has anyone else heard of such a thing? (And I'm not talking about a family account.)

I am not aware of such a program. The closest thing I can think of is the Diners Club Reward points where you get points for purchases and then you can transfer your points to someone else's airline FF account (for some airlines).
