First I need to second the positive comments on the hotel. We just returned from a 3 night standard award (booked last September) and thought the hotel was very nice overall.

Pre-arrival communication was good and they were waiting for us when we arrived at the marina. I would recommend using the luggage transfer for any larger bags since the route from the main square up to the hotel is pretty much an alley way.

When we got to the hotel our room wasn't ready yet, but we were escorted to the terrace and given a free drink. When we finished they took us to our rooms and our baggage arrived at the same time. We only got a basic standard room with an interior view, but were quite pleased.

The room was on the small side, but laid out well. There was plenty of room in the closet and we were quite comfortable with the two of us and 3 bags. The bathroom was spacious and the tile work was nice. A standard shower curtain was a plus - no flooded floors so common in Europe. The bed was pretty soft. No Heavenly bed or newer Marriott bed by any means, but probably comparable to the older style Marriott beds, also with 6 comfortable pillows to choose from. We had a small patio outside, but had lots of mosquitos the one night we tried it...didn't think of bug spray for Capri but we needed it. We got bit often.

Overall the room was very pretty & comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay....BUT.....

I wouldn't pay $ (I would go back with points) to stay at this hotel. It is hard to write since we did enjoy our stay, but this hotel is LOUD. The doors slam, the plumbing is noisy, and we heard the high heels in the room above ours. Amazingly shoddy construction for a high end hotel. So while we enjoyed all the other aspects of our stay if I were to ever pay to stay on Capri I would go elsewhere. There have to better options in this price range (Noise is important to me).

Dissapointing that such a great staff and nice property otherwise are marred by poor design or execution on the construction side of things. So my $0.02 - A great property with a noise problem, so I wouldn't pay the $, but you can't beat the value with points.
