I travel occasionally, but I have a question for all the seasoned traveller out there. Here is my situation. I plan on taking a trip to Europe. Here is something strange I noticed. I was testing out flying to different cities in Europe to check out prices. I want to fly to London. However, this is what I found out. If I fly to london from where I am, the airfare is $880. However, if I fly to Munich (with a stopover at London), the airfare is $725. So my question is, is there a way for me to book the flight to Munich...then try to get my luggage out at London...and just leave the airport? It would actually be cheaper to forfeit the changover flight from London to Munich. As a side note, I will be flying open jaw. Have any of you done this. Thanks for any advice.
Most airlines will cancel all remaining segments on the itinerary if you no-show for the London - Munich segment.
