Angel's @ United!!!
I have met many Flyer Talkers during my travels, with my wife, throughout the past few years. I have frequently visited this site to see what is happening and determining "where's the beef". A majority of the posts and replys are mostly "what's in it for me?" "ME"! "ME"! "ME"!
I have not "jumped in" with my opinions because I've been too busy taking care of my wife---24/7. She has been diagnosed with a terminal disease and doesn't have much time left to realize where she's going or where she's at. But, she did mention to me on our drive back from the UCLA Neurology Department several months ago, "Well I guess I won't make it to become a "MILLION MILER", and she is only 50,000 miles shy of her goal.
Several girls in the "Red Carpet Clubs" in LAX & DEN got word of this and my wife received two "MILLION MILER" plaques presented to her both in Denver and delivered to our home in L.A., and handed to her in person, by top management people.
Thanks to Tina Smith (RCC) in DEN the word went all the way up to the president of UAL and my wife's dedication and goals were recognized.
Although many UAL employees are depressed and angered about there recent situation these "Angels" never once stopped to think about only "ME"! "ME"! "ME"! They thought about my wife and her desire to reach a goal, and by October she will reach it on her own, in UAL metal.
I especially want to thank Sean (ex-V.P. & #1 in charge of DEN) who was terminated as a result of the recent cutbacks. Even though he was not employed, after December 2002, he made sure that my wife received this recognition. I wish his wife, his 5 children, and him, lasting happiness.
The smile on my wife's face when presented with these awards will always be remembered.
So FT's when you think about "ME"! "ME"! "ME"!, think about "THEM"! "THEM"! "THEM"!, and their families, and think about my "CTO Angel" with 2 kids, & 24 & 1/2 years senority, who is now receiving an unemployment check. Her eligibility to receive 90 days of passes, & it's over, is nothing compared to ya'll now being required to purchase an "H fare" in order to use your SWU's.
Thank you, Angel's @ UNITED!!! "THANK YOU TINA SMITH"!!!
No sympathy replys, please. We don't have time to read em, because we're in the air, setting goals, and meeting UAL & FT'er friends.
