The exchange rate for changing foreign money over to Thai baht is set each day. The rate you get at the airport bank will be pretty much the same you would get for that SAME day in a bank in town. The next day the exchange rate could be a little more or a little less, usually not by much.

When you compare rates you get one place against another place you have to compare the rates you get on the same exact day.

Stores and hotels usually give a lower exchange rate than what you get at a bank in Thailand.

Besides Vietnam taking US dollars, Laos and Cambodia will too! Always get rid of your Vietnamese money, Lao money and Cambodian money before you leave those countries - no one wants those currencies after leave there.
