I've seen this done in German hotels for years for eco-friendliness.

I've also seen it done at both of the Aman resorts where I've stayed.

I don't like it. I understand the motivation - but it really feels cheap.

However, I've made my peace with linens being changed every third day of a stay, and only the towels left in the tub being replaced.
