Yep - a heartfelt "good luck" with this. Both BA policy and the staff interpretation of the policy have been very inconsistent during the last few years. We have had everything from active assistance in the departure lounge where a member of staff has proactively asked us if we want to take the buggy on board (EDI), to active hostility and a stand-up row (NCL), through everything inbetween. During this time I was Gold and Mrs TT1F was Silver but this made no difference whatsoever and the anger I felt at the time stays with me to this day.

On arrival once at LHR when we had two infants under 2 and no buggy (the NCL-LHR trip), we actually asked for assistance when we got off the aircraft as we had one child each plus associated baggage and were told in no uncertain terms that the baggage handlers would not bring us either buggy and that we should have "prebooked assistance" in order to help us to get to the baggage hall.

Than said, we probably managed to get the buggy onboard about 80% of the times we flew. We also had a Quinny Zapp which folds up very small (although slightly longer than the handbaggage allowance) and were even complemented by the onboard crew twice about how small it folded.

I would really recommend asking early at the departure lounge area and if it's a "no", asking them to check again with the purser or CSD who have the authority to say yes, or so I understand.
