If I'm arriving off an Air New Zealand flight (VLI->AKL->LAX) and connecting to Air Canada at LAX, can I use the NZ lounge, or will they make me go to the AC lounge? I'm an AC Star Alliance Gold member..

I have an 8 hour layover and would love to take a shower.. I agree with the other posters that the AC lounge at LAX is very poor..
