I don't know what others have experienced with rounded-edged scissors, but I have had great luck with a pair I bought about a year ago. I take over 100 flights a year to dozens of countries including the US and I've never had a problem with these scissors. Only a couple of places, LHR and AMS, even asked to see them.

However they were stolen from me by security at CDG terminal 2E yesterday. I was furious and went off on the security people like I've never done before. I've flown with these scissors many times out of CDG and never had a problem. I was almost yelling at them, calling them fools and calling out the senior manager for being too scared to give his name or show me his ID. They gave me all sorts of excuses such as "US flights leave from this terminal", but that was all BS. I have flown to the US several times with these scissors. Oh well, at least I got to tell airport security people how I really feel about them.
