That is a funny story. It is kind of off topic, but something similar happened to us many years ago in San Francisco's Chinatown. We were a party of six. We paid the bill, and thought someone else had the tip. The other two couples thought each other had paid the tip. The waiter chased us down a block. He got in front of us and made it abundantly clear that we "owed" him at least a $12 tip (total bill of $60) and $8 for "loss of face". We were so humiliated that we forked over $20 and left the neighborhood immediately.

My daughter flew home yesterday for the July 4th holiday. I think she flew Air Tran. She had to pay an extra $6 for an aisle seat. I suspect it is only a matter of months before, in addition to paying a charge to check our second piece of luggage, we will have to tip the Delta check-in person, the GA, the FA and probably the pilot. My husband insists we need to have plenty of quarters before we get on a plane because he is sure that at some point in the near future we will need them to use the restroom. I do not know if I should really even type "lol" after that paragraph. Life is getting kind of scary.
