No, they're not.
Ask anybody who has flown to the US in C and then connected to a domestic flight in F. I still remember flying SYD-SFO in C, boarding my SFO-ORD flight in F and thinking "wow, this sucks."
Anyway, I would definitely downgrade your return flight on the 767. The return on your 15,000 miles in upgrading from old 767 C to old 767 F on an 888-mile flight is among the worst in the system.
Moreover, if the purpose of your journey is to "test out the international F seats," your experience in old 767 F is becoming meaningless as more aircraft are upgraded.
