They are being very creative in finding stuff they can do for people just
to make what they were making before the fees took place. Instead of
helping them outside /where the fee would be charged/ they take the passengers to the kiosks and check them in that way. Then walk the bags up to the counter. Sometimes they may have some issues with tickets and they come to us and we get them done quickly. We're trying to help them out
the best we can. We feel horrible for them.
Not sure about other cities, but in Boston, a group of skycaps won a big lawsuit over lost tips once they started charging to check bags.

Now the new delta policy is somewhat stupid... if you check in online you dont pay the fee? Seems like they're just trying to stick it to the 'casual' (uneducated) travelers.
