Macau ferry to HKIA - enough time?

Hi,

Taking the ferry from Macau tomorrow to HKIA for the HKG-LAX flight (leaves at 1235) - will be checking bags. There's a super early ferry or one that leaves at 1000, arrives at 1050 - 1:45 before the flight. They recommend arriving at HKIA a minimum of 2 hours before the flight.

Usually I wouldn't think twice about doing this, but I seem to recall a post from months ago saying that someone was denied boarding in Macau since they wouldn't meet the 2 hour minimum - I may have misread the post, but just want to be sure.

Does anyone have any expereince with this?

Thanks!
