I suppose with a lap-child, you would be in the between-A-and-B boarding group, so losing OLCI isn't such a bad thing. But it does mean a trip to the check-in agent and no going right to the security line since you won't have a boarding pass printed at home, for you or the child. Right?
It was true before the changes in November, but it is no longer true. You can now checkin online with a lap child - but you still have to go to the ticket counter to do the lap child paperwork.
