Why tip now? They are being paid to handle the baggage. If you don't tip at the check in counter why tip at the curb?
I know many of the skycaps in CVG. They are paid about $2.00 an hour and depend greatly on tips. Much like servers in a restaurant. I don't expect tips doing my job at the ticket counter but I do get compensated for my work.
We have lost a few skycaps since the new fee has been in place. Which is a shame, they are very hard workers.
