Thanks for your replies everyone. The agent at TPA was very nice and she went above and beyond to book me on a flight for next week instead, which I don' t think she was really supposed to do, because the agent on the phone said that they are really only allowed to either give you a refund or place you on a flight the next day. I just wanted to make sure that I handled the situation properly and that I wasn't entitled to anything else because of the inconvenience I endured.
