Considering that it was weather related, they provided you with the option that was correct "compensation". They provided you with an alternate route to get to your destination. They also would have honored your flight home the following day barring a hurricane hitting LAS.
They also went above what was necessary by helping you book (at no additional charge it sounds like) an identical itinerary for next week.
Sounds to me like you were compensated properly. All I could really say you might be able to fight for was original routing credit on the flights in terms of segments or miles, but even that would just be a goodwill gesture and not required.
