Maybe I should just keep my ignorance to myself, but why wouldn't you have been upgraded automatically as an Elite? I freely admit that I know nothing about the AC FF program, but I thought that elite upgrades were a basic part of all programs.
Upgrades are a part of AC's program too, but you must be on an eligible fare and use an upgrade certificate which are limited in numbers depending on your status and what specific package you chose at the beginning of the year.
AC does not offer automatic upgrades for the purchase of a full Y fare.
