How's the quality? I'm staying at the Peninsula and don't exactly want to go to Central just for breakfast. And I find the Clipper Lounge at the Mandarin to be rather dull in terms of atmosphere. I much prefer the decor and ambiance at the Verandah.
As far as decor, the Peninsula is colonial elegant and the MO still looks like it's stuck in the late 80s luxe HK, so the Pen wins that.
I think the quality is a little better at the MO (pancakes and waffles anyway), and they have a wider selection (more juices, pastries, fruit, etc) ranging from Western to Chinese. But definitely don't leave the Pen just for breakfast! It's still really good.
