yes, if one turns OFF noise shield, then one can use it a BIT in the wind and also without having to worry if it is perfectly touching the skin. but for example, if one were to do anything active with this headset, I fear it wouldn't touch the skin enough or completely enough and then of course the sound would be lost again.
Wind, is just a no go regardless of NA on or off.
