From my own (and others') experience,* checking bikes as baggage is totally a roll of the dice pretty much regardless of which carrier you choose. The domestic bike fee of $100 just went to $125, and usually gets assessed on any domestic leg. I would also check whether one could even fit a bike onto a CR7; CRJs often won't accept them as checked baggage.
