Had my first taste of the new layout this afternoon on NZ454 chc-wlg (then onto akl i think). Was in 5C good amount of legroom on these seats, although 5DEF looked somewhat less than where i was sitting.
Didn't catch the registration (forgot to look), sorry.
Pleased I could change my seat as I had been allocated 21C! despite my being the first day of official *GE!
If you book last minute flights (booked less than 24hours), I presume that you are at the mercy of where there are seats left as outbound I was given 17C and couldn't move any further forward than 16C (TA booking so no chance of changing online the night before).
Second question, presumably the nice ladies at the lounges are only able to see more than we can on using SSCI machines? or have the ability to move you further forward going on your status?
