My friend was on the 6:00am flight from MCO to ATL this morning, and connecting ATL-SFO. Due to missing the baggage check in window by 5 min (series of unfortunate events I was told) the agent was not able to check in his suitcase.....all flights were full for the day so he had a tough choice to make. Thankfully was able to repack everything in his carry on having to leave just his big suitcase behind with the agent who said he will "dispose" it.
My friend is starting to have second thoughts about leaving his bag behind, do you think there might be a way to reunite him with his nice Samsonite, without having to fly back to MCO?

I've had issues with them cutting off the checkin even if I am in the process of reprinting a boarding document and unfortunately the MCO agents are remiss to do anything proactive even for a PM.
