Big fare increases are a given along with reduced capacity. With reduced capacity, UA will not need to work so hard at keeping MP members loyal..because..where are they going to go since all the other airlines will have reduced capacity as well?

So expect to see stiff fuel surcharges on award tickets, perhaps a reduction in the RDM bonus for elite flyers as US has done. I'm sure there are other equally undesirable changes that UA has up its sleeve to spring upon the flying public at regular intervals.
