As I plan my dream Argentina vacation, I find it frustrating that I am not able to reserve a room directly with the hotel. I have yet to find the hotel website for Scorpio or Piscis. I have found 8 day package but not a reservation site.

First of all the Argentino is quoting 250 pesos not dolars. Big difference. Guess you missed the other discussions here about the $ SIGN also being used to denote pesos. If it is priced in US$ then it is listed either that way or U$S or $us.
If you are making the same mistake on the other prices then no wonder you think the prices are high for skiing.
As for apartments yes they have them and you can make inquires at this website
