I knew before booking that there was a strong chance another seat would be made available because the flight was showing F4 P4 A4 less than 2 weeks to departure, however i didnt think it would be released quite as quickly.
On my outbound date, ANA shows availability in Y only, on my return, F and Y.
However, both show F4, P0, A4 on expertflyer so I was unable to take that as a guide.
I suppose there is only one way to find out, use my miles to book the seat and then see what happens.
Next question then - if I do that and a second seat appears, I will need to cancel the existing F rtn on LX to book the second SQ seat. Will the call centre insist on canceling the LX booking before securing the SQ seat thereby leaving me in limbo for a few seconds/minutes in which someone else could potentially grab the SQ seat and the LX seats that I release leaving me in the you know what?
