Thanks to all of you who attended to make ID3 so memborable

A great big thank you to my drivers, who bravely volunteered (or were press-ganged) to act as chaffeurs – without you, I doubt the weekend would have been half so much fun.

Orkney is a great place, and I’m so pleased that everyone seemed to enjoy it and appreciated this special group of islands. The charter flight was a great highlight (even if I also got the wet day – we did get the cliff pass though!) with sublime (if sublime means could not possibly squeeze any more sugar into a very small volume ) in-flight catering thoughtfully provided by Moomba. I won't forget Dave_C talking to the cows either... it's ok - for those of you who missed it, I do have photos

Thanks to those who made the effort to come in from far away. It’s a great honour that people will actually fly in to one of my island dos – and I hope that it lived up to your expectation. Without having a really great group of people attending, these things would be not nearly so much fun – and we had a really great group of people attending!

My only real regrets are the absence of one particular special little FTer and that I never got around to buying chocolate fudge!

No idea when or where ID4 will be – although I’ve had a couple of suggestions already (some of which may not follow the Scottish island format!)! But with about 15-20 dos over the past few years, I know I’ve got a little bit burned out, so probably would take it back to the two year cycle again. Check threads in 2010
