I am booking on flight 1579 LAS-EWR on 9/21, CO last night downgraded the aircraft from a 757-300 to a 737-800. The 737 they moved the flight to is set up with the 14 seats in First and according to CO's website that is the Micronesia division aircraft. Does this just mean they don't really know what type of aircraft they will be using at this point and we might get changed again? Any other thoughts? Also we booked this a few months back and we've already had 3 equipment changes too!

There is a VERY high chance that the equipment will change again. With all the changes going into effect following Labor Day weekend CO has reverted almost all their scheduled 73G/738/739/752/753 domestic routes to show as a 738. This gives them the most flexibility in putting right-sized a/c on routes based on demand. It also means that they are showing the fewest number of F seats possible to reduce the chances of needing to IDB a ticketed F passenger. As things shake out in the coming months expect to see the schedule stabilize a bit.
