Anyone with experience checking luggage straight through EWR-HKG-BKK where Kenya is the HKG-BKK carrier and the connection requires an overnight stay in HKG?
CO flight lands in HKG around 6:50 pm (IIRC) and Kenya flight is next morning at 9:45 am.
Of note, Kenya Biz fare is $490, competitive with EK (which increased its fares) and hundreds less than the rest of the pack. Coach is $293, also very competitive.
Of course, Kenya gets the nod over EK simply for the EQMs.

And since we are on the subject, it really torques me that the CO site states, under its section on Emirates:
Travel Area for Mileage Accrual: All Emirates-operated flights
And then in a astricked footnote, only after the award chart, states:
* OnePass Elite qualification miles and points and Elite mileage bonuses may only be earned on Continental Airlines codeshare flights operated by Emirates connecting in London Gatwick (LGW) to/from Dubai.
I hate that I have to play lawyer just to look up a simple thing like "how many EQMs will this flight get ..."
