Well, another two weeks have passed and the CDG-VCE segments were cancelled again. They were there yesterday, but today they are gone.

I checked the AF record locator on airfrance.com and it was cancelled. I called AF and they confirmed that they were cancelled.

The elite desk fixed the reservations (third time) and I called back AF to check that they were ok. I read them the two new e-ticket numbers and they confirmed that they were correctly in the records. However, they checked and said that there was also a duplicate record now, and that we were on the flights twice! This was not the new AF locator (from today) or the previous one from the 2nd attempt. I didnt have it written down, so I guess it must have been the first one, but who knows. They said I should call CO back and get them to get rid of it, or we'd have problems due to the duplication.

Back on the line with the Elite desk, gave another agent the story and the recent twist. She said she would fix it and put me on hold. Came back 10 mins later and said that she had cancelled the duplicate, checked the correct one, called an AF supervisor and made sure that everything was now 100% correct in the record.

The two agents on the elite desk today have been really great, especially the second one that went the extra mile to call AF to make sure that everything was now in good shape.

Fingers crossed we are now finally set!
