My spouse and I are staying in the Marriott Executive Apartments in Budapest for 3 weeks & a couple of our children who will be on jaunts in other parts of the world are meeting up with us there for part of the time. I've been thinking of renting a car and traveling East to Western Ukraine for a couple day's trip with our two young adult children. The reason for visiting Western Ukraine is because my maternal grandmother and grandfather immigrated to the U.S. from there almost 100 years ago.

Has anyone done this drive and can offer advice?
