Inter-Continental Mark Hopkins
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Overall yes.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked an Executive room for $369 and was upgraded to 1 BR suite. Opted to pay extra for Club access which was well worth it for us on this occasion.
How are the rooms?
The suite is very nice at the end of the hallway -- with a stunning views on two sides with dead on views of the TransAmerica Building. Comfortable living room with 4 person table, large sitting area with crt tv. 1 mini-bar for the suite.
Bedroom has king bedroom and large marble bath with separate stall shower and bath tub. Bath amenities are Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet - one of my favourites.
Traditional decor and perfectly acceptable.
How is the exec. lounge?
Selection of finger food was decent and of high quality.
What was good and what was bad?
Good: Anna and the Club Inter-Continental staff were all wonderful and most helpful. Car service was available and took us to where we needed -- it seems not many people know of this perk.
Bad: More of the staff are crusty and past their prime where (good) customer service is the last thing on their mind.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Good value.
Would you return?
Yes, if we need to be on Nob Hill.
