All I was saying is that I put in bids and they were rejected. Maybe I didn't act fast enough, maybe someone bid even lower. I just tried Priceline as an alternate to the airline websites and the other travel services.

THe second route in question was EWR-HOU and I did have to change planes twice.

A lot of people like bidding. I'd like to get a price immediately and decide then if I want it or go elsewhere.
