That's right, this happened last points day also! My suspicion is that there was not really scheduled maintenance, but that is some sort of default or standard web page that they throw up when the site is having trouble (possibly from high volume on both days?)
It would seem though like they should accomdate people who were not able to enter their codes, somehow....
