DaDaDan - Thanks for that. I considered IFE, in fact purposely booked DL in the first place due with the kids the Song-a-sized 737s are a big hit. I actually got pretty good D fares for this trip, so the upgrade isn't a concern. I actually considered downgrading myself and one other family member to a Y, B or M and then hoping for an upgrade, but that seems too risky. Also considered using PM upgrade certs but apparently they don't apply.

Have you had any experiences with baggage handling on AM and do I need to collect/redeposit bags in MEX? And do they close premier check-in ridiculously early at JFK? Some international carriers are more strict about that sort of thing. Finally, I thought AM might offer digiplayers or the like up front?
