I have been using a 7MP Nikon S7c for travel in the past two years. It has a 35-105mm (35mm equiv.) f/2.8 lens with VR (vibration reduction). The ISO range is upto 1600 and with a very large 3 inch LCD. The follow on models are S51c, S52c. These are very thin cameras.

So far I haven't broken it yet.

My wife is using a smaller S5 and daughter has a tiny S1.
