my current valid US passport was issued only 3 months ago and it has my maiden name. two weeks ago I married and now I have a new married name. I mailed my US passport, certified court-order for name change, 2 new photos, and replacement passport application. According to the application, this is free because I'm getting a name change less than one year after my passport was issued.

When I applied for my current passport 3 months ago, it only took 8 days to arrive(from the date I submitted my application at the local post office to the day I received it in the mail) I'm just wondering: when can I expect to receive my new replacement passport? Is it going to be longer or about the same as regular passport processing?

If anyone had done a name-change and applied for replacement passport recently, I'd appreciate any info on this.
