I agree with Sea Tigger, why cant the airlines see and admit that they can no longer offer products and services at below operating cost.
if you cannot pay 300 K to a pilot then hire pilots that want to work for 150 K a year.
it is amazing how many people in america would like to have a job that pays a decent wage and would be happy to have the job.
Just because he gets paid 300K a year doesnt make him better at the job, he just has a good union rep.
Look at professional sports, its starting to feel the same economic strain as well. at what point is enough enough.
I would not have a problem paying an extra 25 - 50 even 100 to have the products and services i received from united 2 and 3 years ago, but if you are going to sell it to me for less, of course im going to buy it.
I really wonder if the business schools today have a clue about todays economy. Airlines sell product below cost, fast food resturants sell product below cost, hell you can even buy a car today with no interest.
I wish I could run business at below cost and still stay in business, but it just does not seem to work for me. Any clues?
