Not to hijack this thread, but have you stayed at any of the Six Senses resorts in the Maldives? We've never been there, and would consider Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili if we go. Any thoughts?
Yes, stayed at both. I used to like Soneva Fushi, but those outdoor bathrooms got to me. I hate trying to get dressed in a hot, sweaty, bug-laden outdoor bathroom. You get a lot of space in a suite, but it is all over the place - disjointed design and overly rustic.
Soneva Gili is quite nice but only for about 3 days maximum as it is a very small island. All the suites/rooms are overwater and the best ones are reached via little electric boats. It is fun at first.....
They both have good spas. The food is generally good, too. GMs seem to change constantly.
