Does a Bose noise reducing headset fall into the category of "electronic devices" that need to be turned off? Told to turn it off just prior to take off as it has on/off switch. 1st time I have had FA tell me this. Could FA or Pilot please verify!</font>
I invested in a set of the Bose headphones, which have helped me deal with the influx of RJ and prop planes that I must fly on now. I've had varied experience with takeoff/landing useage....some FA's are OK with me using the headphones, others deadset against it.

I've tried to explain what these are, and that I can actually hear their instructions BETTER that I could without the headphones.

I guess the path of least resistance for the FA's is to ban ANYTHING that runs on a battery.

It sure would help if Bose could get an FAA ruling that could be printed on a card that we could give to FA's so they'll leave us alone!
