I'm still not sure what any consumer protection law in any country is going to do for the OP.

He clearly states he selected economy and he is booked in economy, there is no case of misrepresentation, he is just trying to benefit from a misinterpreted fare class and he's already been knocked back on that one by the carrier.

Well worth trying it on I guess but having got the answer that really is the end of it, consumer protection laws are not there to help people game the system when they have already got exactly what they intended to purchase.
