There is a one page commercial feature in this month's BMI Voyager by the Ekaterinburg Tourist Information Service. It does not have much to say.

The highlights of a city tour would include one of the largest industrial plants in the world, a large university and the house where the Tsar's family were murdered. Oh, and saying you had been to the point where Asia meets Europe.

If you go to plotinka from Lenina street, do not spend too much time on the bridge admiring the weir view. I didn't know it myself, after 20 years that I lived there, that this place is for prostitutes. See a lot of beautiful girls around? They are waiting for clients. So get out of there before a man from some Mercedes asks your price. They get really nervous if you are not for sale though, so do not explain anything. Just get out of there as soon as you saw that view
